Ahmed Shawky Ali, was not only kind, but also very knowledgeable of Egyptian culture and history. He really helped us skip all the high traffic areas/ lines and he took us to secret spots as well. He made sure to take us to all the sites listed on the itinerary and even added more sites whenever time permitted. He answered all our questions, and even helped us out with our flights back home. Our 4N, 3D Nile cruise by Mody Tours was amazing. The itinerary was well designed and covered most important sites. That said, the schedule was quite full, and at times the pace felt a little rushed, understandable given the number of places covered. The cruise was comfortable and served as a base for the journey. There is some scope for improvement in terms of the food. Communication around daily schedules and logistics could also have been clearer. Our tour guide, Amr Diefallah, was outstanding and truly made the trip special. He was knowledgeable and resourceful, especially during early morning temple visits, ensuring everything ran smoothly. During rushed excursions, he remained kind, patient, and considerate, always looking out for our comfort. Even after, he helped arrange a hotel for us beyond the scope of the tour. His professionalism and genuine care were exceptional. Overall, a memorable trip and a great way to explore Egypt’s ancient history

His knowledge of Egyptian history, warm personality, and clear storytelling brought every temple and tomb to life. At each site—Edfu, Kom Ombo, Philae, and the Valley of the Kings—Ahmed highlighted details we would have completely missed on our own. He was caring, patient, always checking on everyone’s comfort, and especially great with families. He knew exactly when to explain more, when to pause, and when to let us explore, making the whole journey feel perfectly paced. The cruise itself was comfortable and well-organized, but Ahmed truly made the difference. One of the best guides
