Title: Overcrowded and very different from the “paradise” advertised We visited Orange Bay as part of a boat excursion from Hurghada and unfortunately found it very different from how it is presented online. As it is a bay, the water remains extremely shallow, so you can’t properly swim. Underfoot the sand is hard and uneven, and walking into the water is uncomfortable due to small stones along the shoreline. It certainly didn’t feel like the soft “paradise beach” shown in promotional photos. Visitors are directed into narrow, numbered sections (we were told they are numbered 1–35), where groups are allocated a space. This felt more like being herded into pens than enjoying a relaxing beach day. The bean bags provided in these sections did not appear clean and were placed under thick thatched roofing, meaning you are largely out of the sun. There is one swing at the entrance which is clearly intended as a photo spot, but much of what appears in promotional material is either restricted or not representative of the actual visitor experience. We also found the water left a sticky feeling on the skin after getting out, something we did not experience elsewhere in the Red Sea. In addition, I received two insect bites while on the island and had not had any prior to visiting. We both have stomach upsets today. Overall, we found it extremely overcrowded, poorly maintained, and not the relaxing island experience we were expecting. Based on our visit, we would not return.

Das Boot war ein absoluter Traum. Sehr guter Zustand und die Crew war sehr bemüht. Der erste Stop Orange Bay mit 1h Aufenthalt. Zweite Stop an einem Korallenriff. Die Crew ging mit ins Wasser und zeigte einem die Vielfalt der Fische. Das einzige Manko an dem Trip war das All Inclusive. Man bekam halbe Becher voll mit warmer Cola oder Sprite. Die Photographen nervten auch.

The Pirate boat is a beautifully crafted ship and very clean. The crew are attentive and friendly. The food was very good and served in the lovely restaurant inside the boat. The snorkeling guide was very experienced and helpful. I was getting a bit tired and he brought me back safely..

Plongée était géniale et repas très bien. L'inconvénient c'est qu'il ne parlait pas français. Le problème c'est qu'on a du reporter l'excursion de 2 jours car la première fois ils s'étaient trompé d'hôtel et ils ne sont pas venus nous chercher.
