Captain Ahmed was a chilled commander of our felucca. With his assistant, they provided an informal relaxed conversation about the sights on the river with detailed knowledge of the local birdlife. The hospitality extended black tea drinking and Egyptian Whiskey (hibiscus tea) at sunset. A truly wonderful way to spend the afternoon on the Nile.

Ahmed was very nice and polite. The trip itself is one of the only ones that offer 2 whole hours on the Nile so you avoid all the other boats leaving the dock and you get at least a whole hour with the Nile to yourself! We were in the best spot for the sunset viewing well before any of the other feluccas which was as a huge plus.

Communication was excellent, pickup was prompt, and our guide Ahmed and his crew were incredibly hospitable. We enjoyed snacks and hot tea on board, and the sunset views were absolutely stunning—we got some amazing photos! If you’re considering this tour, do yourself a favor and book it. This was a Fantastic trip on the River Nile on a Felucca boat. The crew were amazing and couldn’t be faulted. They were genuinely concerned with their guest’s comfort and having a great time. We were provided a selection of soft drinks and tea aboard the boat and watched the sunset whilst floating along the river. I would recommend this trip!
