Everything went as planned. Guides/organisers help with everything (e.g. hinting how much you should tip). They are also very responsive (via GYG and WhatsApp). Guides are the biggest advantage. Adel and Samy did an incredible job helping us to explore each place. You will learn the name of the ship only on the last day before trip. The ship was ok. It was rather old, but clean & renovated, the staff and food was nice (not great but not terrible). If I could pay a bit more for a newer ship, I would consider. The transport to and from Hurghada was great (brand new car). The drivers don't speak English but are friendly (but the last driver was too pushy about the tips). The transport to Abu Simbel could be improved (a long drive with small legroom and no A/C). All the temples and tombs are fantastic and have their own intreresting stories. The program details could be updated. There are some optional points which are not included in the basic itinerary (e.g. Hot Air Balloon flight).

Esperienza memorabile, nonostante qualche pecca. Nel complesso, il soggiorno sulla crociera lungo il Nilo è stato positivo, con alcuni alti e bassi. I siti visitati durante il tour sono stati semplicemente eccellenti: templi maestosi, paesaggi unici e un’immersione completa nella storia e nella cultura dell’Antico Egitto. Un ringraziamento speciale va alla nostra guida, Adel. Definirlo una semplice guida sarebbe riduttivo: è un vero professore di egittologia, con una conoscenza profonda e una passione contagiosa per il suo lavoro. Adel ci ha accompagnato con professionalità, spiegandoci ogni sito con una cura incredibile e rispondendo a ogni domanda con entusiasmo. Ha davvero reso il nostro viaggio un’esperienza indimenticabile e superlativa. Purtroppo, la nave della crociera non è stata all’altezza delle aspettative. Nonostante fosse classificata come 5 stelle, risultava piuttosto datata.

Many pros and cons as well PROS One of our tour guides (Adel) was excellent. We were lucky to have our own private car and guide. Overall the cruise ship and the facilities were good. The food was good Restaurant staff on the ship were excellent. CONS Our cabin was disappointing. We were initially given a very dirty and tacky cabin. We were moved to a cleaner cabin, but it no where near matched what was advertised. The advertised photo shown is probably a 6/7 star cabin. The itinerary is not accurate. I have already mentioned it to the company to change this, as it was confusing what was happening when we got to luxor. There weren’t veg/vegan options especially at breakfast.
